I. Technical Requirements
Hardware
This site will run on any computer that's capable of running a fairly up-to-date web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Browsers
JessWakefield has been optimized to run on the Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and 6 (IE5 and IE6) browsers. A Netscape-compabible version is under development and will be released shortly.
PC or Mac
We have made every effort to make the site work well for both PC's and Mac users. However, if you have a Mac, we urge to view the site using IE5. It will work poorly on Netscape and barely at all on AOL's built-in browser. Full Mac compatibility is under development.
Video Display
Set your video display to thousands of colors. The site has been designed for a screen resolution of at least 800 x 600. We recommend 1024 x 768.
Modem Speed
You will need to have a modem speed of 56 kbps or better. Because our site is graphic intensive, 28.8 kbps modems or slower are not recommended.
Memory
JessWakefield.com uses plug-ins such as Flash and QuickTime. Make sure your system has enough memory (RAM) to handle these plug-ins -- 64MB at a very minimum.
Sound
You will need a sound card to listen to our audio files.

Flash
You will need Flash 4 (or later) to run this site. Flash has been built into most browsers for the last few years. If you don't have Flash 4, click below.

QuickTime
All of our audio and video files are designed to be played using the QuickTime plug-in. QuickTime files will stream when enough of the file has been downloaded to provide uninterrupted viewing. Depending on the file size and the speed of your connection to the Internet, this can take some time but results in consistent high quality playback.
All of our videos are presented in two resolutions; Broadband --for ISDN, DSL and Cable modem users, and Dial-Up for 56kbps modem users. The Broadband version of a video clip will be about twice as large as the Dial-Up version.
